Foals number 11 and 12 were both colts again, sired by Bolt at the
Equestrian Center. By this time I decided to stop training my horses
before taking them to be sold. I had no plans to move the family again,
and they had more than enough money to cover their bills, future stud
purchases, and potential home renovations, especially considering the
money coming in from competitions and sales. It was time to kick
breeding into high gear to hit the 50 foal mark, and the faster horses
left the faster we could get new babies (I'm still waiting for
the foals to age up to adults before selling them though). With this in
mind I took Prairie's colt, Baxter, to the Equestrian Center to be
sold, with very low expectations for his sale price. Not only was he
untrained, with no competitions under his belt, but he was also ornery
and lazy (just the kind of horse everyone wants amiright?)
Imagine my surprise when he pulled in over 7,000 simoleons, I think my
biggest sale to date. Prairie does not have the skill reward where her
foals are worth more money, and his traits are less than satisfactory,
so the only thing that I think could have contributed to such a high
sell price were his high skills in both racing and jumping (yes, even
jumping) that he gained immediately upon aging up.

At
first I thought that the sire could have something to do with the
selling price of a horse as well, but Desi's colt, Bobo, sold for just
over 2,000 simoleons, despite having much better traits than his brother
(friendly and neat). His racing and jumping skills were low though, so
it wasn't unexpected. Unfortunately I forgot to save Bobo before
taking him down to the Center to be sold.
And
that brings us up to date with my game at last lol. I already have
foals 13 and 14 in game, but I am waiting for them to both age up before
making their post, and introducing their sire. I am also trying to
take better screenshots of the horses in game now, since when I first
started I wasn't really intending to post a thread about it. I wanted
to take the screens for my own personal reference to what kind of foals I
got, but I also wanted to have my bases covered just in case :). I
hope everyone is enjoying them anyway!
