Brownie and Boomer: 41 & 42 + Fern's Time?

Update time!

The sire for foals 41 and 42 is Gaucho, from candi_girl137.  He can be found on the exchange here:  http://www.thesims3.com/assetDetail.html?assetId=4827839.

Gaucho and Prairie had a little filly named Brownie, and I love her markings!  She has the speckles and bloody shoulder from her mother, and the bigger appy-like spots from her father.

She liked to play with the raccoons.

Gaucho and Desi had a colt, named Boomer.  He got his mother's darker base coat and his father's lighter dapples, and I think it works much better for him than for his much older sister, Cannon.

They were very cute together as foals, and would often race each other.

However, as adults Boomer's aggressive nature came through.  Maybe he was jealous that his sister was bigger than him or something...

Cyrus had known for a while that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Angelina, and after running some races with Cino he managed to save up enough money to buy a ring for her.

They decided to hold their wedding ceremony at Flux, where they had their first date, and Troy and Teila offered to rent it for the day so they could keep it relatively private.

Yes, of course random barkeeper, you totally deserve to have the first piece of cake...

Phillip spent the entire time out in the lobby area, playing with his doll, Whisper.

And Troy spent a good chunk of the party in the bubble room.  Yeah, that one came out of his nose.

They were very happy together, but it was obvious they were going to need their own space to have some privacy, and keep everyone else from constantly walking in on them.

As a wedding gift, Troy and Teila gave the happy couple enough money for a down payment for their first house.  They chose a home relatively close by, with room to keep horses of their own.  Teila had seen how close Cyrus and Cino had become, and since she no longer needed Cino as a stud she offered him to Cyrus to get his own ranch started.  They were both very excited about it, and promptly headed to their new home.

Angelina was hesitant to leave her new family and chose to stick around for a little while before going home (seriously, she stayed until like 3 in the morning).  She seemed to have a soft spot for her little brother-in-law, and made sure to give him plenty of cuddles before she left.

Phillip was a very happy little child, and everyone seemed to love him.

He took after his mother mostly, but he seemed to have gotten his eyes from his grandfather, Steel Chroma.

But babies don't stay babies for long, and soon enough it was time for his birthday.

Um, nice shoes...

After changing to some more appropriate footwear for outdoor play, he headed outside to check out the treehouse.  I think Brownie wished she could follow him up there.

He spent many afternoons up there, having all sorts of adventures.

However, Phillip wasn't the only one who had been spending time out in the old treehouse...

And before too long there was yet another addition to the family (what are these people, rabbits?).  This is baby Damian, and his family still fails to understand that perhaps the fast setting on the swing was a bad idea.

Fern was getting on in years, and as time went on she was spending more and more time at their house with her niece and nephews.

I have no idea what they are looking at.

It was during one of these visits from Auntie Fern that she was called into the great beyond.

Teila took it especially hard, and would find herself constantly reminded of her sister as she went about her daily routine.  Fern had always loved the outdoors, loved the horses, loved the fresh apples from the garden...

Eventually a sense of normalcy returned though, and everyone got back to doing what they loved.  Cora was getting more comfortable on horseback, but she was still having difficulty actually getting out of the saddle.

Perhaps her future didn't lie in horses though, she realized as her birthday neared.

She grew into quite the beautiful young lady.

Cora had big dreams of joining the music industry, and after finding a job in town she found a small house for rent as well.  Her parents were sad to see her go but knew that she wanted to make her own way.

Teila was saddened by how many of her loved ones she had to say goodbye to, but with two growing boys she didn't have too much free time to mope around.  Besides, Damian was following in his brother's footsteps and was becoming quite the little ray of sunshine.
