Well, Dragon won the vote for Desi's last foal, and he wasted no time in re-introducing himself.

I have to say that I absolutely love his foal! Star is foal number 49 in this challenge, but I almost wish she was number 50, to guarantee going out with a bang :). Even her grandpa, Cino, came over to check out the newest addition to his line.

Damian spent hours in the basement, determined to find a friendly, alternate life-form that was less judgemental of what his mother referred to as his "eccentricities". The closest he managed was a strange little metal doll, and while it didn't seem truly alive, Damian could swear that it had a definite twinkle in its eyes.
He refused to admit it, though. Especially since he suspected that Boinky was moving the strange little thing around the house to mess with him. The last thing he needed was another reason for that annoying, walking woodblock to call him insane. Boinky had already made it abundantly clear how displeased he was with Damian's attempts to replace him.
Boinky had seen the way that strange blue woman watched Damian, and it made him nervous, even if Damian was completely oblivious.
Marcy wasn't really sure what about him drew her attention, but something about him fascinated her. To distract herself she tried to keep busy helping around the house. She conjured fresh, delicious meals if anyone was hungry, and could instantly make the house cleaner than it had ever been before.
Something about laundry eluded her magic, though. She didn't mind doing it manually, but she occasionally forgot to knock before entering the bathroom.

Damian didn't seem too upset over it, but it was still terribly awkward.
In her free time she found herself fascinated by old romance movies she found on the television.

She also decided to get to know the horses, as she had never spent much time with animals before. While she enjoyed being around them, they still made her nervous and she wasn't sure if she would ever have the guts to actually ride one.
Having been around horses her entire life, Layna had no such reservations.

Although half-way up into Prairie's saddle she started to question the wisdom of her impulsiveness.

Layna still preferred her hair cut short, but now she had an arsenal of styling products to help keep her hair exactly where she wanted it: out of her face.
She looked a lot like her sister, Cora, but while Cora had more of their father's facial structure and cheekbones, Layna looked almost like a younger version of Teila. Yes, I know you are adorable...
Layna had had an uncommon interest in death since she was a child. She never had any experience with it, however, until one day she got off the school bus to find the grim reaper in their driveway, sent to collect the paparazzi who only moments before, had suffered a heart attack while leering through their kitchen window.
They didn't know the woman personally, but she had been hanging around their house for years, and Teila was saddened at her passing.
This didn't last long, however, and before she knew it, Layna was watching her mother trying to woo the grim reaper, asking him if he would like to watch the stars with her.
Her father was less than thrilled with this idea...

After Troy sufficiently scared the grim reaper into leaving the property, Teila approached her husband. She confessed that she really had no idea what had come over her. Troy couldn't really imagine that his wife would openly flirt with another man right in front of his face, and they wondered if maybe Mr. Grim didn't have a few tricks up his sleeve to smooth over the whole being-death-thing with the ladies.
They had both worked from home throughout their entire marriage, and he had no reason to suspect her of infidelity, so he forgave her quickly.
The whole ordeal may have even brought them closer together, wanting to cherish the time they had left before death came knocking at their door again.
