Jumper and Alegra: 23 & 24 + Baby Time!

Another update!

Both of the next two foals were sired by Sable, another horse from the EC.  Prairie had number 23, a little colt by the name of Jumper.

Number 24 is Desi's filly, Alegra.

They kinda look like they switched heads or something.

Meanwhile, Teila invited Troy over in the hopes that he would give her a baby of her own.  Meteor came over to say hi.

And Prairie decided to share the wonder of birth with them.

Before she knew it there was a small party in the front yard so they headed into the house.

After some serious flirting in a more private setting Teila invited Troy back outside to join her in her brand new haystack...since the shower was obviously out of the question.  Afterwards she seemed pretty unimpressed,  although he seemed awfully proud of himself, and maybe not really sure why?  I don't know.

He continued to be especially happy, but started thinking about turtles...

So he went inside and played peek-a-boo with one of the turtles.

Then he continued his strut to the foosball table.  Teila joined him for a game.  It looks like maybe he isn't ready to settle down and get married; good thing that isn't what we were looking for anyway.

After he left Teila found that she was tired all the time, and couldn't get enough sleep.

Later she was in the yard feeding Alegra when she discovered that she was indeed pregnant.

Fern was an awesome sister and indulged her cravings, making her whatever foods she desired.  She seems especially pleased with this plate of spaghetti.

She wandered down to the library to read up on pregnancy and birth, since her previous experiences were entirely horse-related and she wasn't really sure how much carryover there was.  While she was there she ran into Troy.  She told him about the baby and he seemed really happy about it.  I'm not entirely sure he understands that he is the father...

When it was time to have the baby she did what any reasonable woman in labor would do...she rode her bike to the hospital.

Thankfully she chose to bring her baby home in a taxi (I wondered if she would use her bike again), but I was surprised to see Troy come out of the hospital after her.  At first I thought this was just another random run-in (or perhaps that he is a stalker) but then he climbed into the taxi with her.

Now this is my first experience with a non-married sim having a baby.  Actually, as far as the game is concerned he is nothing more than a romantic interest, not even in boyfriend status.  So I was really surprised to see him there at the hospital with her for the birth.  Is this normal behavior for non-committed daddy sims?

Oh, and its a boy!  Teila named the little guy Percy, for Perseus, who released Pegasus from Medusa's neck when he chopped off her head.  They were both exhausted so she promptly fed him and put him to bed before passing out herself.

Troy, on the other hand headed over to visit the hedgehog...

Then outside to rub Desi's neck, which she appreciated.

Then he had to watch the crow in the aviary.

And help himself to a party drink upstairs.

He did eventually go and give his son some attention.  He even gave him snuggles and kisses...who knows, maybe he waited so long to let his son get some sleep.  Not that that has ever stopped my sims from playing with their babies before.

He then wandered into the bathroom and brushed his teeth.  He had been showing signs of exhaustion for the last few hours, but didn't end up leaving until about 3:30 am.

And now I seem to be having problems coming to a decision.  Between the constant run-ins, his attending the birth, his potential love for animals (honestly, do normal sims spend that much time watching and playing with the pets?), seeing him think about marriage after bringing home the baby, and Teila's new wish to get married, I'm not entirely sure about just leaving him as a one-night stand anymore.  She does have enough lifetime happiness points to get the young again potion, so she could drink that and marry him (since it doesn't really seem fair to marry him off to a woman very quickly about to become an elder) and they could raise their son together.  In this scenario Fern could either stay on or move out and join like a retirement community or something.  With Fern staying I would have the maximum amount of sims in the house that would still allow for the maximum amount of horses.  I already need to do some renovations on the house to make a room for the baby as he gets older anyway, so making some other changes to make a new room for either Fern or the new couple could be included in the plans.

On the other hand I could just continue with my original plan of having the two sisters raise the boy and let them die off of old age without undue interference from me, and put my focus on Percy.  I always have a challenge moving on from one sim to the next, and while I have done it a few times, I have yet to see one of my previous sims die....I have a couple of legacy-type games going but obviously they haven't gotten very far yet.  This update is completely current with my game and I probably won't have time to play more until later tonight or maybe tomorrow, so I'm interested to see which direction you think I should steer Teila's (as well as Fern's, Percy's, and perhaps Troy's) life.  Which way would you like to see her go?
